Popular fitness company that streams content to its clients was interested in opening the French-Canadian and Latin American markets. This required interpretation of fitness workout programs into Spanish and French. UniVerse provided the interpretation in-studio.



This wellness and fitness company is a favorite in the United States, and they were looking to expand internationally. They partnered with UniVerse Language to bring the interpreters to their studio, and simultaneously interpret the demanding workouts into French and Spanish. We tested the markets with 3 different programs, a 14-day, a 21-day and a 30-day challenge.

Goals / Challenges


The trainers would video-record two or three segments at the company’s studio to be sent to post-editing and to publish on their website to be accessed on-demand by their clients.


Interpretation needed to happen in the studio, have the ability to work directly with the rangers, as well as to support post-production of the foreign-language content.


UniVerse built interpretation booths within the studios so that Spanish and French interpreters could be on-site with the trainers and with the post-production team. The interpreters had to simultaneously interpret the instructions given by the trainers during the sessions, capturing the energy, speed and mood set by the trainers. After recording, time would be dedicated to supporting the post-production team to sync the interpretation to the original video content. The company’s international membership increased drastically after the production in the two languages.
